Meta description tag
The meta description tag comes from a long line of meta tags that can be used to give more information and instructions about your website / webpage.

Where does the meta description appear?
Generally the meta description tag is hidden to website users and will only appear to robots / crawlers.

Meta description top tips
- Industry experts recommend keeping the length to under 155 characters
- Try to create concise descriptions about your page
- Try to write a description that will entice the user and improve click through rate
